Supporting Bereaved Families
The foundation accompanies the bereaved families of fallen unit members, both through memorial events and ongoing support. In addition, the foundation runs various commemoration projects – from personal initiatives in collaboration with families, to unit-wide memorial events and upgrades to the unit’s memorial room.

Combat Trauma Processing
Service in the unit can come with a heavy psychological toll, and the Yahalom Foundation has made it its mission to support veterans as much as possible in this area as well. The Foundation offers a broad and diverse range of resources, enabling every veteran and team to find activities and receive tailored support that meets their specific needs.
The Foundation has a team of psychologists and a social worker who map out and connect veterans to the most suitable resources, as well as serve as a listening ear for their different needs.

Support for Lone Soldiers
“Tailwind” (Ruach Gabit) – the Lone Soldiers’ community supports current lone soldiers serving in the unit as well as veterans who once served as lone soldiers. The community is strengthened through social events, academic scholarships, assistance with rights and benefits, and financial support for various needs.
